My dad said when she gets in the TARDIS she can start singing "Spinning Around". My sister said she could sing "Especially For Who".

    Everyone's a bloody comedian...

I haven't seen "Hand On Your Hearts" yet.

Or any references to the fact that the Come Into My World video is clearly a tribute to Castrovalva.

Unfortunately my knowledge of Kylie songs runs out with 'Better the Devil You Know', & i can't think of a context for it.
So i'll just be a bit seedy & hope that Kylie plays Santa Claus in the christmas special.

What amazing news - never mind OG's rantings, I think it'll be great. JN-T would have LOVED to pull off this sort of thing, wouldn't he.

I'm hoping this is another OG "comedy post"!?

    So. Farewell then, Doctor Who.

You always were a cruel mistress. For every Caves Of Androzani, you were always capable of a Twin Dilemma. Sometimes my loyalty wavered in the face of such inconstancy, but I couldn't stay mad at you for long. I remember how worried I was when you disappeared for those eighteen months. Of course, you showed up eventually but mortally wounded and on a ventilator. I maintened a vigil, even through the whole of Trial Of A Time Lord, until in those last couple of years, it looked like you were rousing yourself. I dared to dream that you might soon be your old self once again, but that was before your cruel masters pulled the plug.

But you didn't die (you always were tenacious), and in fact you continued to write during your subsequent, long abscence. One time, in 1996, you even came to see me again just for one very special night. And then, so long ago it seems now, I heard that you were coming home again for good. I'd never been more thrilled. That day, when you arrived, I was right there waiting for you, hoping that things would be just as good between us as they always had been. And, for a time, they were. You were fun and fresh and irreverant, and if there were a few small problems then I could always put it down to an inexperienced cast and crew. Oh yes, for a time it seemed everything would be just fine.

And then you changed again. For the first time, little things you did began to annoy. 'Aren't humans brilliant!' you'd shriek at the most embarassing, inoppurtune times. or 'What? WHAT? WHAT?!?'. It really was most unbecoming.

And then, my dear, you developed a taste for pointless bombast and scale, where once wit and charm were your watchwords. You didn't have eyes for me any more - you were playing to the gallery. It was then that I began to realise it was over. Oh, there was still some spark of the old you in there - The Girl In The Fireplace and Human Nature were nearly enough to keep me believing. But not quite.

It was only a few days ago that I sat as you delivered your latest mediocre example of spectacle triumphing over any semblance of substance. Even as I witnessed your latest betrayal, I still thought that there could be some hope for us, but the death-blow was struck the very next day. You were taking up with her.

Oh, there had been others in the past. Beryl Reid. Ken Dodd. Richard bloody Briers. There was a time when pointless stunt-casting was your middle-name. But you'd changed, you said. You wanted to be taken seriously as drama again, you said.

She can't act, you know. Have you seen The Delinquents? Street Fighter? I have, and it wasn't plesant let me tell you.

So I'm writing to tell you I'm leaving. You're welcome to each other, but from now on as far as I'm concerned you may as well be dead.

I'll always have the memories of the good times we had together.

    Yours, with love always,

    Killbot

You always were a cruel mistress.
So this guy is f***ing Doctor Who stories rather than watching them?
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

I reckon it will be a whole lot of FUN!

It's got an incredibly tacky and quite talentless (Me - HUH!?!?) Gay icon in it and all these gay icons do is massively and ruthlessly expolit their gay supporters....????
And, of course, every red-blooded male who fancies the arse of this 'gay icon'!

It's truly gonna be a special with something for everyone!

They missed a trick not getting her as the guest star in Silver Nemesis (recorded only a few months after "I Should Be So Lucky" was a hit in Britain), instead of Dolores Whoever-it-was.

(Yes, OK, OK, I know that would likely have been beyond them at the time...)

Well regardless of your feelings towards Kylie, being in the Christmas special - it's good to see that she has made a full recovery from her battle with brest cancer.
