It's got to be Ten Little Aliens.

Euch, what an uninspiring bunch. I shall have to mull it over and come back! Even that McCoy shot is a bad choice - isn't that him from the "Hartnell Years" photoshoot?

It's a close run thing between Ten Little Aliens & City at World's End for me, but I've gone for the latter as I like the look a little better. Storm Harvest is really poor.

Since models were made for the first two covers, and the third one was drawn, it's nice to see that some effort was put into all the covers in this round. It's a good bit of artwork on World's End that wins it for me though.

Normally this round would be chosen on my 'including a Who element' criteria, but I can't bring myself to vote for "Storm Harvest" because of that Sly pic. "Ten Little Aliens" is nice enough, but if you've seen one ugly face you've seen 'em all, so I'd have liked some other elements on there other than just four ugly mugs. So, despite its lack of anything Who-y, I'm going for the rather nicely rendered spaceship & planetsfest that is "City At World's End". So there.

We'll start with the worst - Storm Harvest. Kudos to Mike Tucker for going to the great lengths of creating a real model of the monster especially for the cover artwork, but it's let down by the amateurish BlackPhotoSheep. Ten Little Aliens would be a winner in any other round, but I've gone for City At World's End, as it's a gorgeous bit of imagery. And I've read that book, so that adds added nostalgia.

They're all fairly good, without being spectacular, but City At World's End is the best of the bunch, featuring a nice bit of artwork. Call me old fashioned, but I much prefer to see a painting than a piece of photoshopping, however skillfully it's executed.
(Watch now as I contradict myself on future rounds! )

I went for Ten Little Aliens.
Think they live on the end of my road.

I think you've mentioned the Cretinby family before - nice people but odd. Do they still have that pet lampstand?

I think Younger Brother Cretinby married the lampstand!

Ten Little Aliens is both creepy and wierd, a combination that is guaranteed to get my vote any time!
One Day, I shall come back, Yes, I shall come back,
Until them, there must be no regrets, no tears, no anxieties, Just go forward in all your beliefs,
and prove to me that I am not mistaken in mine!
