How do I make it so when I post a new reply, it goes back to the board I am posting to, and not just the thread?
There was a setting thingummy for this on EZBoard, but I can't remember what it was. When you submit a reply, you want to go straight to other threads on the same forum, not back into the thread you just posted to.

This is more about the old forum than this one,
But i was going to continue threads here like my ongoing viewing threads of such as 'Angel' & 'Twilight Zone' etc... & i was going to include links in my opening post the last page of the previous EZboard thread, but i can't access any of the forums on the old PS because it's asking me for a password.
Besides which, i hadn't even finished reading tonight's messages yet. (moan groan)

Can Upload Animated GIF for Signature No"
And my sig-pic is not showing up on preview.....
It's coming up as a link look -----

Thanks again, Ant!
Can you just tell me what code to use to get it in the centre?
It used to be: (center)(/center) on EZboard
Am i being a pain tonight?

You have my full sympathy Wayne - this new board is like breaking in a new pair of shoes when all I want is an old pair of slippers!

Morning all (or whatever time of day it is where you are).
I'm having trouble adding an avatar. When I try to type one in and click "Save Changes" all I get is a message telling me I'm not authorised. Am I doing something wrong?

Try and upload from your computer rather than using a URL - might work.

Just get the same message either way, I'm afraid.
You are not logged in or you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
1 You are not logged in. Fill in the form at the bottom of this page and try again.
2 You may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
3 If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
Nice to be here anyway.

The Mark Thread as Read option seems to work but then seems to make the threads unread again when you go back to the main page.
-

You have to double click on the pages icon on the left to mark the whole board as read.

When I clicked the link to a thread in an email alert I got just now it took me to a log in page and not the actual thread.
I had to come in by the front door to check I hadn't been logged out (I hadn't).

It works okay for me. Do the unread threads in the topic you are in change from boldtype to ordinary type when you click 'Mark As Read'? If yes, now head back to the main page, refresh, and see if the thread has lost its 'unread posts' marker.
On another topic, I haven't worked out how to make it go to the board you are posting to once you submit a post, rather than the thread. If anyone knows please share - if I've just posted to a thread, I don't want to look at it again.
