Commentaries recorded...
...for The Deadly Assassin (Tom Baker, Bernard Horsfall and Philip Hinchcliffe)
and Image of the Fendahl (Tom Baker and Louise Jameson)
according to some people on Digital Spy and Roobarbs at least.
Obviously even if it got confirmed this wouldn't necessarily mean a release of either story is guaranteed in the near future.

Two excellent stories there - no complaints from this quarter!

I'm glad to see that Tom's being doing a lot of commentaries nowadays. I watched 'The Armageddon Factor with commentary earlier, and he was on fine form, helped no doubt by having John Leeson & Mary Tamm with him. Maybe he's doing them for the money, but I'd like to think he's enjoying doing them and seeing old friends again. He was very nice about Lalla too... it'd be nice to see him reunited with Lalla for one, though perhaps I'm wishing for too much.

My impression from the recent documentaries (as I'm usually watching on my exercise bike I tend not to have the commentary on) is that having exhausted his stock of amusing stories, he's getting better at- or perhaps finding it easier to- stay on the subject and talk about what's in front of him and the recollections that it triggers.

Equally he's just as great when he goes off at a tangent like he does during episode 2 of 'Armageddon', talking about Shakespeare. But it's reassuring to hear his anecdote about being mistaken for Claire Raynor/June Whitfield/Ken Russell etc.

Pretty obvious that "Assassin" won't be a long time away from release.

I just love the way he seems to take joy in someone's death ("Ah, he's dead now!") or that his wife likes to avoid him ("Ah, even my wife crosses the road to avoid me!") or somesuch. He's a genius!

Plus we have the Master on Gallifrey, both of which would be of interest to the newer audience.

Why are we not hearing about any commentaries for 60s stories being recorded?!
Just to add another.....
Commentary by Steve Gallagher, presumably either for Warriors Gate or Terminus.Last edited by Perry Vale; 1st Oct 2007 at 1:24 PM.

I think another reason why Tom's doing more commentaries now is that he's back living in the UK again (or at least will be soon if he isn't already).

Out of interest, why more likely "Terminus"? Either way it's a box set!

If that rumour about Mawdyn Undead is true, then it's good to hear Mark Strickson is involved, but very disappointing that Peter & Janet aren't!

He's probably listened to the Resurrection commentary.....

The commentary for Image Of The Fendahl is actually Thomas Stewart Baker with Dames Louise Jameson and Wanda Ventham, and Lou's heart-shaped pendant.

From OG.....
met Peter Purves at the Journey Through Eternity (think I got that right) in Gloucster yesterday and he said he'd only recorded the comentary for the Time Meddler last week! guess that means it won't be out 'til about 2015 then...“If my sons did not want wars, there would be none.” - Gutle Schnaper Rothschild

Was that the story which was on the schedules but delayed because they couldn't arrange dates with commentary people? Hopefully it will come out now Purves has cleared a window in his hectic schedule.

I like The Time Meddler* & I'd like to see this sooner rather than later.
Or as my original typo, "The Tim Meddler!".
