Uncle Terrance and the novelisations of the Sarah Jane Adventures!
Exciting developments for the fans of 124 page novels! Uncle Terrance is back according to On Target!
TERRANCE DICKS ADAPTS AGAIN
It's been years since 12 years since Terrance Dicks last adapted a script into a novel. His last one was an adaptation of his own direct-to-video script Shakedown for the Doctor Who New Adventures range in 1995, and his last adaptation of someone else's scripts was a year earlier, Woof! The Never-Ending Tale, based on the Central TV series, with scripts by Richard Fegen, Andrew Norris and Graham Alborough. All this changes in November which sees his adaptation of Russell T. Davies' and Gareth Roberts' script for the New Year 2007 premiere episode of The Sarah Jane Adventures - 'Invasion of the Bane'. The book is published by Penguin Character Books, ISBN 140590397X / 978-1405903974, and should be in shops on the 1st of November.

"Sarah Jane Smith had an old/young face..." No maybe not. But nevertheless, exciting stuff, and perhaps good stocking-filler material for a certain little miss...

The covers are just what you'd expect. Looks like the tohers are being done by Rupert Laight, Phil Ford and the omnipresent Gary Russell.

I hope they inspire BBC Cardiff to start novelising the Doctor Who stories. I'd love to see some lovely Target-y versions of the likes of Tooth & Claw and Gridlock.
