A true music legend.
I only started buying his stuff a couple of years ago.
The "Diddley Beat" influenced loads of top musicians.

I know little of his work but I do remember an anecdote about him and it always makes me smile. Someone at a swanky music awards do came up to Bo and his lady friend and said "Good evening sir - it's an honour to meet you. And you must be Mrs Diddley."
Dennis, Francois, Melba and Smasher are competing to see who can wine and dine Lola Whitecastle and win the contract to write her memoirs. Can Dennis learn how to be charming? Can Francois concentrate on anything else when food is on the table? Will Smasher keep his temper under control?
If only the 28th century didn't keep popping up to get in Dennis's way...

Bo Diddley wrote "Love is strange" (which he credited to his wife), which is one of the greatest duets of the '50s rock n' roll era in my opinion. For that alone, he's earnt my respect!
RIP Bo!
