Series 2 information (spoilers)
I did think about adding this to the Series 2 confirmed thread, but as that one doesn't warn of spoilers in the title, decided to keep this one separate. If anyone wants to merge them and add a spoiler warning to the title, I don't mind. Either way.
Anyway, I've been given some interesting information about guest appearances in this series. Apparently the Doctor is definitely due to make a cameo (the scenes with him were recorded in April), and (less certainly at the moment but seems highly likely) it ends with a story about the Sontarans, in which Nicholas Courtney returns as the Brigadier. Which would be nice, so I hope that's right.

Ooh! Those are good rumours. Let's hope they're true- especially the last one!

That would all be good. Just a thought - there's one way they would have kept secret the scenes with the Doctor in (which, largely, they have) and that's if a new actor, to be introduced on Saturday, was playing him. Just a thought.
Courtney would be good, but it'd be frustrating if they used him and he never met the tenth Doctor. Likewise a Sontaran story would be fun, but they ought to be careful the SJS doesn't appear like it's only able to afford to use cast-off costumes from the main series! A 'lone Sontaran' story (like "The Time Warrior") would be nice, rather than a full scale invasion.

Interesting news, hope it's true. Anyone seen the casting news for Clyde's family in DWM?

Seems pretty certain that The Brigadier is set to return, someone on Roobarbs has posted a photo of one of the trailers at the filming location, and in the window is a sign saying Sir Alistair ! Yay!
Also set to return, is Mrs.Wormwood . Smaller 'yay' there then......“If my sons did not want wars, there would be none.” - Gutle Schnaper Rothschild

Why isn't the Brig good enough to be in the New Series proper? It's a mystery, there are any number of roles he could have played, that high ranking UNIT officer in "Stolen Earth" for example.

I know, I'd agree. I can only assume it's because (now) he doesn't appear to be in the greatest health.
The guy on Roobarbs who posted the pic I was talking about earlier has now posted another one of him during filming, with a walking stick. Oh, and the returning monster alluded to earlier (The Sontarans) in the same story is/are definitely in it, and is in one of the pics too.“If my sons did not want wars, there would be none.” - Gutle Schnaper Rothschild

Alas I missed all but the pilot of SJA, so am still waiting on the DVDs, but I am so thrilled that Sir Alistair is returning! That's one episode I'll be sure to watch. And mark my words, he will appear in one of the Who specials. That he does is a given...

We saw that, it was so exciting. Zel's been avoiding spoilers, so she was absolutely gobsmacked when a familiar, bald dome-headed face popped onto the screen.
"Russ Abbott!" she exclaimed!

Ooh exciting! Spot the cheap old "One Sontaran costume and no CGI needed" concept for Episode 1.

Given that it's a kids show, I'm wondering what temptation Sarah is going to be faced with - could it be choosing between doing Luke's ironing and nipping off in a police box?

Maybe she finally finds a part of the Brig she likes after all these years.

First a "Bannerman" road and now a "Rani".
All we need now is a "Paradise" Heights and a "Dragonfire" gardens and we'll have the complete set.
See! The gateway home is almost complete.
