Are you Chroming it on Planet Skaro
Cos I work in IT, I've heard the hullabaloo about the new Chrome browser and thought it was worth taking a look.
Very good it is too - although I'll avoid using it for any shopping transactions until it's a proper release.

Oh and it supposedly had a "helpful feature" showing sites of web pages you've visited. So no more sneaky looking at porn sites ...

I've tried it briefly. It seems to have better Windows Media support than Firefox does, even in its third incarnation, but Chrome feels too lightweight for me to use it. Plus Google make their money off adverts so no handy ad blocking features in their browser.
On the plus side it seemed zippy, it imports bookmarks, user names and passwords from Firefox so no more hunting for emails to remind you how to log into places, and the interface is about a zillion times less crappy than IE7's bizarre layout.
Oh and "Incognito" will let you browse sites of mature interest without leaving traces all over your screen. Well, not on the inside anyway.Dennis, Francois, Melba and Smasher are competing to see who can wine and dine Lola Whitecastle and win the contract to write her memoirs. Can Dennis learn how to be charming? Can Francois concentrate on anything else when food is on the table? Will Smasher keep his temper under control?
If only the 28th century didn't keep popping up to get in Dennis's way...

Cheers Lisssa!
You seem kind of quickly up to speed on that side. Honestly those pictures of that topless woman being whipped wearing PVC was put there by a virus ... honest.
It is kind of nice, zippy and attractive, but whether the core of it is as safe as Firefox I dunno.

Is it because your subconscious is worrying that you might've been getting inaccurate information from Wikipedia? You should remind it of that research which says Wiki is as accurate as Britannica. Then you'll sleep more easily.
I meanwhile have written a somewhat longer review of Chrome for my upcoming tech column. One of the licence conditions for Chrome (which they may have removed by now) was that all contents posted using the Chrome browse belonged to Google.
