Funny Money
Just a small oddity to bring to attention. Since the forum came back, pounds signs seem to be coming out as ?'s.

That's the current financial uncertainty for you.
Oddly enough, something similar occasionally happens to me when I'm listing stuff on Amazon- usually switching browsers clears it.

Hmm. It showed up as a pound sign on the preview, but not in the post.

The character set of the database and tables was set to latin1_swedish_ci.
Setting it to utf8_general_ci has not improved things.
Additionally the character set of the database and tables on Streamline was set to latin1_swedish_ci.
I'm confused.
If you have any thoughts, please post them.

Is the current host an American based one or not. Because I'm quite sure that the pound sign on U.S keyboards is not shift+3. I know that shouldn't make any difference but you seem to have tried everything else.

2 is @? Is that all American keyboards or just Macs? I know the ~ is next to the ! hence ~! but that's where I lose interest.

Dennis, Francois, Melba and Smasher are competing to see who can wine and dine Lola Whitecastle and win the contract to write her memoirs. Can Dennis learn how to be charming? Can Francois concentrate on anything else when food is on the table? Will Smasher keep his temper under control?
If only the 28th century didn't keep popping up to get in Dennis's way...

That does at least explain Mac keyboards (who are of course the sons of the Clan Keyboard).

₤ seems to work. It looks like a pound sign. It's actually a LIRA~! which is acceptably obscure.
