I picked up my copy from ASDA this morning @ £12.71. I'll settle down to watch an episode or two a little later on.

I saw a copy in Asda.

I don't think I'll be seeing one at home though, the way Royal Mail is!
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

Perhaps your postman pinched DWM, read the preview and decided to let it go...

I walked to Asda to get mine and I can't believe it's all on one disc?
The last time I saw it was a grainy version with adverts on UK Gold so I'm looking forward to this!

I first saw this as part of BSB's Doctor Who Weekend back in 1990, but even with their HI Def transmission I don't recall the episodes looking as good as they do on this disc. That tape of course is long gone in favour of the BBC video, itself now consigned to retirement.

Episode 5 looked shocking on UK Gold - the BBC Video was much better, thankfully.

We've got to the half way point in the commentary and I'm finding it quite wearying. Carole Ann is havig a good moan through it, Ray Cusick isn't happy about his contribution to the sets and William Russell sadly hasn't got much to say. Thank goodness for John Gorrie, who's sparky and remembers a lot about it. Clayton's moderation isn't all that good- it's al;l very surface level, there's not enough depth.

Well Asda got my money again for this one, £12.71 a very reasonable instore price imo.

I was going to say, it's not as bad as a few episodes on in the jungle planet, where she starts screaming her head off at the sight of a slowly advancing twig.

Having not been keen initially, I might go for this sooner rather than later. I can remember when the VHS came out, Virgin in Leeds were in the habit of playing this week's new releases on little LCD screens on the top of the shelves- and being really impressed with the technology of ten years ago.

What do people think of these new bits they've added? I don't know why they've bothered with most of them to be honest - the one with Altos' head morphing is bizzare!

What's all that about? Not more new CGI?
