Omelettes (and pancakes)
I'm in the middle of making an omelette for my lunch. It's got mushrooms and some nice cheddar in it. Would anyone like one? If not with mushrooms or cheese, what would be the omelette of your choice?

I once put spinach in mine, and it was very nice. Chopped tomato and a bit of cheese is a good one.
I must admit, just when I think I'm king, I just begin!

I like putting a bit of bacon in mine, maybe some tomato and mushroom in there too, and topping it off with cheese. Then i grill the top of it till the cheese bubbles....mmm.....yummy!

I'm not an omlette person.
I'm not cut out for these PS threads about food.

Why, does it taste of omlette?

I'm sure Trudi would rather have turkey on Christmas day.

What's wrong with having a nice hot sausage every now and again?

Can I be really ignorant (yes, probably!) and ask what the difference is between an omelette and a pancake?
-

An omlette is just eggs, a pancake has flour and is more simply a batter.

Ah right, thanks Si. In that case I've never had an omelette! And since I don't much like eggs, I probably won't be rushing off to try one anytime soon (no offence Steve!)

And you can put chocolate spread in a pancake - not so sure it'd work with an omelette.....

Chocolate eggs only work at Easter!

I always put lemon & sugar on my pancakes. For years and years and years I was certain my grandpa used to put tomato sauce on his, but one day when I mentioned this there was a complete tumbleweedesque reaction from the entire rest of the family, so I conclude that the memory cheats.

Pancakes are death. People rave about them, but all they are is flour and eggs with sugar on! What's the big deal?

I would only want to eat them once a year.
Trudi makes lovely pancakes.

My son decided to have chocolate spread on them one year - and i've got to say, it makes them taste a whole lot better!!

I love pancakes, if they're cooked just right. Crispy round the edges, and soft in the middle. Plus lemon & sugar!

Back to omlettes....
I don't like them. I'm not all that keen on eggs - they're alright in small quantities, but omlettes are just far too eggy for me!
