Sorry, Si, but I don't follow your logic here at all. The three stories were written as a set of three, carry a whole sub-plot throughout, aired one after the other, and released individually but in order and consecutively on video. How does this set of stories not qualify as a trilogy? They're more tightly linked than the E-space trilogy, certainly (one of which was written long before the idea of e-space ever came up, and one of which isn't set in e-space at all).

That would be if Dan Hall stripped naked, painted a big skull on his chest and stood on top of Tower Bridge in a Liza Goddard space helmet to promote the "Terminus" DVD.

Lots of new CGI it seems.

I don't think there's enough to make me pre-order this (same goes for most Davison stories) but the extras look decent.

Even the most basic of DW stories can be pepped up with a bit of CGI...

Could this be the September boxed set? There's worse it could be...Muffs and Legends for example.

I keep hearing rumours that there's a huge revamp of Enlightenment on this - I know my memory's not all that, but were there actually (m)any dodgy effects in that story? I seem to recall it being pretty darned good as it was.

Well, there was a revamp/re-edit made for Enlightenment so it seems, by Brendan Sheppard, but it still doesn't seem to have been confirmed if it will appear. Certain comments on Roobarbs seem to suggest it won't, I guess relating to how Brendan appears to have fallen out big time with many other RT members.

even though all the extras have been cleared I'm still putting my money on a January 2010 release date.
    Good luck with that!

Looking forward to some Leeeeeeeeee Johnnnnnn action on the dvd.

There is, I believe, a special edition made by Brendan and Fiona Cumming.

despite these extras being cleared I personaly would be suprised to see it released this year and think it's more likely for a January 2010 release.
Eye of Horus are currently saying that the box set will be released late in 2009. It could be a November release. I’ve heard that The Next Doctor, Planet of the Dead, The Waters of Mars and the final two specials will be released in a box set in (possibly early) 2010 and the BBC probably don’t want to release two Doctor Who box sets the same month. Therefore, The Guardian Trilogy could be considered the January 2010 release. (Originally, The Beginning Box Set was supposed to be released in November 2005 but the Series 1 Box Set was planned for release that month and the BBC didn’t want two box sets of the franchise released in the same month so The Beginning was held back until January 2006.)

The Twin Dilemma was cleared by the BBFC last year and rumoured to be released this year but judging by the look of things, it seems it won’t be. Apparantely, Dan Hall of 2|entertain has said that 2012 will have a mixture of stories from each Doctor's era, so it looks like Twin won't come out until then. These things could be planned in advance but won't always necessarily mean that they will happen.

I don't think it was, was it? IIRC, a 'Coming Soon' trailer for it was cleared, but no parts of the story were.

The Fashion Police were asked to clear it, but instead gave it a life sentence.

Hold on, they were released in November 1992 - does that mean you're nearly 31?

No, it just means he couldn't afford to get them as soon as they came out on a 14 year olds budget!
