I had to vote for The Writer's Tale - it's far too interesting!
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

Writer's Tale. The Inside Story is a nice-looking book, but isn't any more insightful than an article in DWM; the A-Z I've never read; and The Unfolding Text gave us the gags for Dragonfire but that's about it.
And anyway, even if the opposition weren't such also-rans, The Writer's Tale is an absolutely fascinating read.

It has to be The Writer's Tale, which was a superb book. From A-Z is probably my second choice.
