Yaroo. Sorry, did I just say "Yaroo"'? Anyway, she's looks like she'll pull in the Dads and an unknown choice is good, as they don't have to pay her too much which means more CGI! Hurrah!
I dare say her character will be announced shortly, and be "spunky", "sassy" and "won't suffer fools". It'd be so refreshing if they just said "She's a bit shy but screams her tits off whenever a monster appears".

Ooh, they can update the Hartnell/Jaffa Marketplace gag for the 21st Century. "Hello, I'm the Doctor! Haven't I seen you in Pompeii, flouncing around in an Argos version of The Sisterhood of Karn?"

I can't say I've ever heard of her- even if she's been in the show before, but yes she looks good and I'll be looking forward to the photos of her and Matt Smith together. They'll be coming soon I'll wager.
Welcome aboard Karen!

I just hope they won't continue with the I love the Doctor but he doesn't love me story ie Rose and Martha because to me that will just be boring now. I just hope her character is someone that wants to see the wonders of the universe.
It would have been nice if it had been a male companion for a change.I hope what I just wrote made sense, it did when I was thinking it.

*sigh* Another pretty girlie. Why oh why oh why can't we break the formula and have a bloke. You know, like Micky or Jack. Sigh, actually I'd settle for Bernard Cribbens!

I heard the news on the BBC 1 O'Clock news.
She'll be nice on the eyes but time will tell whether she'll be up to it or whether she'll turn out to be another Martha.

There's nothing wrong with Freema. I don't know why she gets so much stick.

She looks a bit like a ginger Adele Silva.
I was hoping for an older companion to balance out the new 17yr old Doctor.
Still, she is rather attractive, so i suppose i can now use her as an excuse to carry on watching the show.Last edited by Wayne; 29th May 2009 at 3:26 PM.

I'm with Mr Hart. Martha took her time to get into her stride, but was aces by the end. But I'll happily give new girl the old college try. Well in more ways than one.

We've just had an older companion, so it makes sense to revert to the norm/cliche/boring old type. And Moffat is well known for having an eye for the ladies.
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

It could have been so much more dignified if Lily Allen had got the gig.
I read it in the papers and everything!
