I plan to lose weight (one of the ways I plan to do this is getting a bike & going for rides).

I don't really do New Year resolutions. For me, any decisions any make about any aspects of my life just come when they come.
However, i'm just over halfway there in my endeavour to lose about 6 stones in weight, which i began 6 months ago. I aim to be somewhere between 13 & 13.5 stone by June of 2007.
2006 has seen the fruition of some personal development over the last 3yrs, & i'm feeling very positive & confident about 2007. Quite simply, i intend to get out more. Spend less time on-line/stuck in front of this bloody computer screen, & watching dvds. (i've seen everything!) Particularly when spring comes around, & the weather (hopefully) improves.
If i have an ok year financially, i want to travel a bit more. Nothing big, just modest little trips to look up friends in France & Holland. I also want to visit Germany, (possibly Berlin), because i've never been there, & have always wanted to go there.
There are other things, But generally i want to do a bit more, have a bit more variety in life, & broaden my social life out a bit more. Because of family circumstances, i shall have the responsibility of being my sister's full time carer anytime in the next few years, so i want to live a bit more like i used to do, while i still can, & possibly even find another partner. It's been 4yrs or more, & it's high time i put myself back on the market. I feel ready!Last edited by Wayne; 28th Dec 2006 at 8:36 PM.

Mine is to get up earlier for work as I've been getting in a wee bit after I'm due and apparantly that's a big crime even when you frequently stay extra minutes and extra hours in the evening.

Well I guess expanding the social circle and more travel are really good things to do more of - I think life is most fun when you've got it filled with a whole variety of different activities. Yeah a partner in life that would be a good one too!

I plan on being nicer to gay people. As in really over-the-top-camp people.
I am out there... somewhere.

My resolution is to get fit this year, and hopefully lose that stone i've gained in the last 18 months!

I'm going to make sure I keep up my diet and fitness - working late has meant we've missed the odd gym session in 2005, so we're going to find a way round that. I also intend to make two audio plays in 2007 with the Planet Skaro Dramatical Company, and also get PS posters writing some new stories so we can make them into future plays, providing everyone is willing.
Si.

I'm not good at writing anything longer than a shopping list, lol (Have you heard the quality of my lyrics?)

In case anybody notices its absence, with my Mod hat on I've moved Dave's picture from page 1 (and a couple of posts referring to it). It was just very out of place, and frankly not worth posting.
On a similar subject, I've left your earlier post on Dave (although I was tempted to move that one too). That clearly wasn't a serious post (would you have posted it if there was no filter? Of course not!) but it just seemed very pointless, and I notice seems to have been entirely overlooked by every subsequent poster! If the only point was to bemoan the swear-filter... well, although I know it's a source of irritation to some, I really do think it's time to get over it.

There was no point to it at all, Andrew - in fact, there was no need for the swearing filter because all the asterisks were my own - and if you'd deleted it, I wouldn't have minded in the slightest. However, I am a bit disappointed about the "Tesco Value Pornography" pic being removed. I accept that it might have been a bit tasteless, but it was a direct response to a jokey remark of Wayne's, and it wasn't real pornography, after all. But I've expressed my opinion and that's all I wanted to do. End of subject. Back to New Year's Resolutions.

Fair point, Dave; it's hard to tell which asteriskses (sp?) are posted, and which are filtered. True, the Tesco pic wasn't real pornography, and it didn't strictly speaking fall foul of the 'no nipples' rule (our own PS version of no hanky-panky in the TARDIS), but even so...
But anyway, as you so rightly say, back to New Years Resolutions - I would like to pay off the remnants of my credit card during 2007 (and I know a firm with the words 'Debt' and 'Services' in the name who would like that too); I would also like to redecorate the kitchen. Gosh, how tremendously boring are my ambitions!
