Tired of Windows? Afraid of Linux?
Google will be introducing their own operating system

blergh! Google are quickly becoming more dominant in the computing market than Microsoft - I envisage a day where Windows could be hailed as "indie" as Linux is!

I too enjoy using Google Chrome, and think it's a fantastic piece of software. If they can deliver an operating system which delivers like Chrome does, it'll be a fantastic piece of kit.
Personally this looks to be basically a halfway house between Windows and Linux. Windows is easy to use, but is such a large operating system, it really hammers your system. Linux is harder to use, but works really quickly.
I've an XP netbook, and thanks to all the Windows updates, it's pushing more and more closer to the limits of what the hardware can achieve. Chrome OS offers the potential to breathe new life into it once it's had one XP update too far.
