We shall have to collaborate with Dave & Jonno for a Top 10 barmaids of Walthamstow. Pity the name of the best pub can't get by the bloody swear filter!

Very appropriate for today especially......
Though i might add : 'Inability to move from settee' in my case.
Luckily i can post from the settee. Totally horizontal is difficult, But i'm working on it.

I think Mr Lewis should make it a resolution to join us in The Cck this year and help to compile the list of 10 barmaids.

I take your point. "Can I take your photo so that I can bung it on the internet?" might not be a great ice-breaker!

It took a while to track down this thread, but having managed to get only 2 doctors further on before throwing the book to the ground in disgust, I'd like to list
10 'Facts' I didn't know until Andrew Cartmel told me them in his Through Time unofficial DW guide
1. Patrick Troughton was the best Doctor, followed by only a gnat's breath by Sylvester McCoy
2. Anything good that happened in Doctor Who was directly copied from Quatermass and other Nigel Kneale works
3. Anyone using the colour green to suggest something is alien has a crippling lack of imagination (even green plant monsters)
4. The special effects on any DW must be compared to the most modern available in TV and film today, and as such ridiculed.
5. Ben Aaronovitch never wrote a bad line or plot in his life.
6. DW audiences have no ability to suspend their disbelief and so spend most of their time laughing at the poor production values.
7. A story of more than 3 episodes is just dragging, unless its the Curse of Fenric
8. There isn't a single story between Talons and Curse of Fenric worth highlighting for new veiwers.
9. Neraly every synopsis book you have read will be wrong, because the author made the mistake of watching the programme while they wrote it, rather than going by memory.
10. The New Series is flawless, and seasons 24 to 26 could have been like that, if it weren't someone else's fault.Bazinga !

I hate that book. Steve has banned me from ever mentioning it again because it made me so angry when I was reading it!
