New Oasis Greatest Hits For June!
Only a few years after the atrocious "Stop the Clocks" (Number 1 singles missing, album tracks present, two discs, ten tracks on each, the nightmare's are all coming back) they've done it properly.
They must have left the record company, then, and therefore this is being assembled without them having the power to muck it up.
So ALL the singles:
Oasis to release singles collection album in June
'Time Flies' is set to come out on June 14
All of the band's singles released in the UK during their 15-year career – aside from 2000's 'Sunday Morning Call' – are featured on the 26-track compilation.
A deluxe version of the compilation, featuring the band's music videos plus footage of their gig at the London Roundhouse on July 21 last year, will also be released.
The tracklisting of 'Time Flies' is:
'Supersonic'
'Roll With It'
'Live Forever'
'Wonderwall'
'Stop Crying Your Heart Out'
'Cigarettes & Alcohol'
'Songbird'
'Don’t Look Back In Anger'
'The Hindu Times'
'Stand By Me'
'Lord Don’t Slow Me Down'
'Shakermaker'
'All Around The World'
'Some Might Say'
'The Importance of Being Idle'
'D’You Know What I Mean?'
'Lyla'
'Let There Be Love'
'Go Let It Out'
'Who Feels Love?'
'Little By Little'
'The Shock Of The Lightning'
'She Is Love'
'Whatever'
'I’m Outta Time'
'Falling Down'
And all the Videos. Although we're talking June, so still time for them to edit one of those out as well to annoy everyone.

'Sunday Morning Call' was a cracking song - I'm not buying it, I tells yer!
Actually, this looks a pretty good compilation - I've never got round to getting 'Stop The Clocks', is it really not worth it then? Even when it's reduced to £2.99 as I'm sure I've seen it somewhere online?
Come to think of it, I've still not bought 'Dig Out Your Soul' either... oops...

I'll tell you who should do a Best Of.... DOLLY PARTON. I just wish they'd get their act together and collect together all her hits like "Jolene Jolene", "Coat Of Many Colours" and the Whitney cover.

I'm hoping there might be some sort of Michael Jackson Best Of this year too.

Why do record labels feel that it's so necessary to put out "best of" after "best of"?
If a band has broken up, one career-retrospective best of is okay, I think.

But the band deliberately arsed it up last time by leaving off about nine Top 10 hits and including b-sides and album tracks!

Given the kick in the chest and punch in the face we've got over no "Sunday Morningf Call", I'd skip and never play the song after Stand By Me. Shakermaker was one of the problems I had with "Stop The Clocks". (In that it wasn't on it) So I'd carry on from Shakermaker until I reach the end of Lyla and then use manual dexterity* to jump to Go Let It Out and then to Little By Little. (and that was my first and biggest problem with Stop The Clocks) Final skip after The Shock Of The Lightning and then sit back and relax. Despite being troubled the CD doesn't end with Whatever? It would have been the last bit of cheering and applause the band will be getting for sometime anyway!
So yeah, will be getting this the year it's out seeing I have only got the debut and Stop The Clocks by them. I have heard (WTS?)MG but I am one if not the only one of the households that hasn't got a copy.
*=I could use the remote control or just program the CD player, but where's the joy in that?

Aaah but there's a difference between a "Best of" and a "Greatest Hits", surely?
I mean, I consider some of Oasis' best songs to be missing from this - Slide Away, Acquiesce and Columbia as some examples. Stop the Clocks was undoubtedly a "best of", whilst this is a "greatest hits"

What's this? http://www.nme.com/news/oasis/50623
Oasis new compilation album 'Time Flies' will include 'Sunday Morning Call', despite it initally appearing that the 2000 single was going to be omitted from the career-spanning release.
The song was initially missing from the compilation's tracklisting, which features every other Oasis single since the band's 1994 debut 'Supersonic'.
However, on promotional copies of the collection 'Sunday Morning Call' features as a unannounced secret track at the end of the second disc of the compilation
