I'm late with these things as usual, but I've been listening to "Talkie Walkie" by Air.
Still doesn't beat "Moon Safari" but there is some brilliant moments like "Mike Mills" and "Surfing On A Rocket".
So I suppose if I like this and "Moon Safari" I was genetically programmed to love "10,000 Htz" or whatever they called it?

Slick, bouncy electro-pop for the new decade - sampling both Cheryl and Joe's albums this week. At least a handful of tracks on Cheryl's that are worth savouring, and Joe's is surprisingly coherant and sweetly sung. Downloaded him for £5.49p which is quite an acceptable price.

P-Bal actually recommended Joe's album to me in fact - it's not just a coincidence. I was hovering, but finally decided to go for it based on the advice that it was Quite Good and a half decent price. The rest was easy.

Murray Gold- Doctor Who Series 5. The best DW soudtrack for a while. I enjoyed the Specials one and S4, but this is far, far better than either of those.

I've dug out my old BBC Space Themes cassette tape and transferrred it onto my ipod. There's some great themes on there, from obvious stuff like the late 70s version of the DW theme, Blakes 7 and an unusual disco-style version of Star Trek, along with some rarer stuff like Moonbase 3, A For Andromeda and Journey Into Space (all original official BBC recordings but apparently they didn't have the rights to use the original version of Star Trek). There's a great Peter Howell piece as well - Space For Man And Journey Of The Ancient Astronauts - which I assume must be from a Horizon episode of the period. Throw in a few classical pieces to cover things like Quatermass, The Sky At Night and Apollo, and you've got a great album which is well overdue a cd release. I haven't listened to this so much for about 30 years, I had actually forgotten just how much I once loved this tape!
