The economics of Star Wars ...
The Jedi are selfless and of course have no posessions.
George Lucas on the other hand is rolling in it ...

Whenever I think of the HUGE gap between Return of the Jedi and The Phantom Menace. I know George Lucas says "I was waiting for the special effects to catch up ..."
Personally I've always close he was closer to the people of Magrathia, who'd sucked so much money out of the economy, they had to go silent for a while so the economy could recover enough to fund a second boom.Remember, just because Davros is dead doesn't mean the Dalek menace has been contained ......

The intrusion of real life into Star Wars is always good for a giggle. Eddie Izzard's "Death Star Canteen" routine (available in Lego on You Tube) and Clerks' debate about whether the construction workers building Death Star II deserved to die when it was blown up or not to name but two.
Dennis, Francois, Melba and Smasher are competing to see who can wine and dine Lola Whitecastle and win the contract to write her memoirs. Can Dennis learn how to be charming? Can Francois concentrate on anything else when food is on the table? Will Smasher keep his temper under control?
If only the 28th century didn't keep popping up to get in Dennis's way...

Question: Why aren't people spending as much on Star Wars as they used to?
Answer: George Lucas has all of the world's money.Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!
