Killing sharks for killing
It seems that following a couple of fatalities after shark attacks we are now pulling them out of the water to kill them.

What is it with people? We go and invade their habitat, then start killing them when they do what they always do and attack what they think might make a nice lunch when it happens to be us they are trying to make a snack of.
Animals eat, animals defend their territory. If humans get in the way they may well get attacked. But it seems, rather like the foxes earlier in the year, we are suposed to treat the animals like monsters and kill them all when they become an inconvenience. Yes, the deaths are tragic, but come on, you wouldn't start shooting lions in Kenya if someone got mauled by one while wandering around on the plains.

But we think we own this planet, didn't you know? Meanwhile are blissfully unaware that we're quite the most deplorable species on it.

I heard on the radio it's even worse than that - apparently the Egyptian authorities are investigating reports that a whole lorryload of sheep carcases were dumped in the sea in this area a few weeks ago.
They might as well have put out underwater picnic tables and provided toothpicks for them as well.Bazinga !
