R.I.P. SIR JIMMY SAVILLE
http://www.eadt.co.uk/news/uk_sir_ji...home_1_1112241
The 84-year-old, best known for his Jim’ll Fix It show, was just two days away from his 85th birthday.
Aside from his career in television, he also raised millions for a host of good causes.
And the BBC Four repeats of Top Of The Pops will be more heartbreaking to watch when he hosts them.
R.I.P. Sir Jimmy.

...seriously!?
Wow. I'm just stunned. I mean... I know he was 84, but he was one of those people who I just felt would be around forever.
RIP to a true legend

I knew he was ill, but he seemed to be getting better. Rather a shock, that!

Such an iconic figure of the 60s and 70s. If I had any jewellery, I'd rattle it in respect.

His programme was a staple of growing up when I was a kid.

Now then... now then...
Really sad to hear this- he was an iconic figure from my childhood and like many I wrote to Jim'll Fix It a few times in the hope I might have been one of those kids...

I wrote to JFI asking to meet K9 in the TARDIS. (I suppose I was being cheeky, because that's 2 "fix it"s in one. I was a canny 8 year old!)

Didn't a kid get fixed to become a mini-me version of the 6th Doctor? I mean of all the Doctors ...
