The Who Shop at East Ham
I was at East Ham today and popped into the Who shop International to see if they had the latest 5 inch action figures that I was after.
They did.
But they are charging 5 quid more than everywhere else! And to top it all the woman that works there was so rude when I asked why. Needless to say I left empty handed.
Anyone else had a bad experience there?I’m being extremely clever up here and there’s no one to stand around looking impressed! What’s the point in having you all?

Yes
Many years ago, on a day trip to London, I decided to waste my time visiting said shop.
The astronomical prices on the videos were enough to convince me never to bother again. I fully expected to be handed a bill on the way out for any oxygen I had used up during my visit.Bazinga !

Yep. No bad experiences there as such but you do have to remortgage your house to buy anything there.

The woman, if still the same, is called Eileen Loosley and is notorious. Last time we went in there she was marshalling her daughter into correctly displaying some "In Vision"'s.
Si.

I wont go back again. Unless I cannot get one of the rare items. You expect to pay over the odds for the rare stuff. But the everyday stuff being over priced is just a rip off. It's not even the RRP it's more expensive than that.

given how cheap a lot of the stuff is online, I'm surprised that shops like The Who Shop haven't gone under yet...

I was the only one in the shop yesterday.

I last went when I was 10. The place was a treasure-trove of delights, smells and amazing, beautiful, Doctor Who stuff. But then, I was 10!
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

Despite living only a few miles away, I have never set foot in the place. And certainly have no need to, in this age of online discounted shopping.

Is that the shop that used to be in a warehouse? And you had to press a button to get in?
The Doctor's almost as clever as I am!

I have had dealing with Alex Loosely Saul of the Who Shop at conventions and she's a right crooked old cow.
That is all.
