The Five(Ish) Doctors Reboot. Probably... The Best 50th Anniversary Thing... In The World!

That's utterly fabulous.
The Doctor's almost as clever as I am!

It was brilliant! Really funny & I love the old Doctor's making fun of themselves.
Serious kudos to all those who gave their time to star in it, Peter Jackson, Sir Ian McKellen etc.

I'm still chuckling at McCoy's "I want to go home now." line

I liked Colin's line about not being able to see the controls on the TARDIS because the decor wasn't bright enough

Just watching it again... It's absolutely splendid. Peter Davison did us all proud I think. Very funny and they deserve their own show, like a new Goodies!

So much better than we thought it was going to be. Lovely to see the much missed during all the celebrations RTD.

This is excellent - very funny and very clever (especially at the very end)!

It was just terrific. I love that all four of them were self-deprecating in it ("I've got some bad news," "This replaces the one that mysteriously meant missing," "... with Oscar-winning director Peter Jackson!" and "I'm in... work commitments pending"). Everyone gave a great performance (including Moffat!). I wonder if Tom was out of bounds given he WAS in the Special?
Oooh, coconut macaroons!

Davison has just tweeted to say they tried to get him, but got no reply after three attempts, so went with the very funny Shada gag instead.

My favourite part was when Peter led them all into the "Tardis" only to find them selves inside a small dark box. On goes the torch, Peter says something along the lines of "Ahh, I thought this was the real Tardis" and Colin quickly puts him down by saying, "You really are on another planet, aren't you?".
I’m being extremely clever up here and there’s no one to stand around looking impressed! What’s the point in having you all?

Watching it again and NOW I hear the "Now I'll never know if I was right!".
Seriously improves on rewatching. Must get a DVD release somehow. It's just too good!

Just watched it again, I love it so much. Highlight of the anniversary for me.
Didn't pick up on the old series/new series incidental music gag first time around. Spotted Lalla this time too.“If my sons did not want wars, there would be none.” - Gutle Schnaper Rothschild

Who'd (groan) have thought Davison would turn out to be a great comedy writer!!

It has almost as many great, quotable lines as The Five Doctors itself.
I also thought it was wonderful to see Russell. He's been out of the public eye for the past few years, didn't realise how much I missed him!Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

Just got round to watching this last night. I've got to agree with everyone else, it's brilliant isn't it? Several hilarious moments in there and it was great to see them poking fun at themselves.

I think he's generally under-rated.
He's a great actor, full-stop, but that includes comedy - he was brilliant in both At Home With The Braithwaites and A Very Peculiar Practice. And he's always been up for some tongue-in-cheek digs at the series and fandom, such as that sketch he did for the 30th Anniversary (I think?) where he was bound and gagged in some fan-boy's bedroom at a convention...
