Ultimate Doctor Who: Season 23
But first a venerable Time Lord faces inquisition in the much awaited return of Doctor Who...
The Doctor (and indeed the show) is on trial for his life. A linked, 14 part series was a daring way to come back from hiatus, but they did it anyway.
Technically it's one story of course, but for the purposes of the poll, we're splitting it...
So which bit of the Trial is your favourite?
I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

Oh dear.... The worst 2 seasons of Dr Who... 23 & 24.....
I'll go Vervoids here. It's not too bad.

Vervoids for me too.

Mindwarp! No question, no doubt. No other TV show could ever do anything quite so colourful, mad and sick as this totally barking four-parter. Even Doctor Who could only ever have done it once!
I adore Mindwarp. Let's try the Skidaddle procedure. He is young for a man of science. Verrrooomniks!Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

Vervoids, without a doubt. Even though Bonnie Langford's in it!

The 'skidaddle' bit is still one of my favourite Who moments - even now, I often count in that way!
I'm not ashamed to say I like all of Trial - there's a huge wodge of nostalgia in there, true, with dim memories of watching it on darkening Saturday teatimes (for the last time in the 20th century as it turned out); but even putting that aside, it's a great huge tale which above all Colin holds together.
I'm going to vote for the last two episodes though - last words notwithstanding, Colin goes out on a high with this little epic, and although we're now so used to it I still remember what a genuine "What did he say?????!" jolt when they revealed the Valeyard's true identity. Can you imagine if we'd had the 'net back then, it would have gone into meltdown!!

I voted for Vervoids, but I'll also note that, if counted as one story, the whole thing is my second favourite Colin!
Oooh, coconut macaroons!

A bit of a toss up between Mysterious Planet & Terror of the Vervoids, with MP getting the vote.

Vervoids, as the action flows along nicely and they don't dwell too much on the trial scenes. It's like a Murder on the Orient Express in outer space.

I'll have a bit of Vervoid, please!

And I'll have the rest. The best of a fairly average run.
