Ultimate Doctor Who: Series 4
After Kylie at Christmas, the Doctor met an old friend, Donna Noble and took her off for adventures across space and time. They met Adipose, visited Pompeii, freed the Ood, hit to Sontarans on the back of the neck before Agatha Christie, and finally Davros and the Daleks.
It was quite a series, but which one was your favourite?
I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

There's only one stand-out story for me this season, Turn Left. Having said that, it's probably the strongest Tennant season of them all. It has an overall higher quality than it's predecessors, it's not as patchy. The highs though aren't quite as good as previous seasons, and the lows not nearly as poor. Turn Left stands out from the crowd, though.

Although this wasn't on the soundtrack. This was my favourite season of Tennant.

I don't have a lot of love for this season, but it's between "The Sontaran Strategem/ The Poison Sky" and "Turn Left" for me.
I'll go for the former, as a 2 parter is more value for money.

I really liked the Sontaran two-parter, and also Midnight. I also really liked Turn Left at the time, but somehow seem to have ended up watching it too often. The finale was great at the time, but now I find Journey's End a bit of a slog - mind you, The Stolen Earth is still marvellous.
But anyway, blether aside, I'm going for The Fires of Pompeii. Not just for the presence of a future Doctor (!) but because it's an impressive little tale, and Catherine Tate is extraordinary in it - from the jokes about the TARDIS translation at the very start, through to her raw despair at the end as she begs the Doctor to save somebody, it's undoubtedly her story. (And, with it's "look you" and the like, it suggests that Mr Capaldi will be as good with the comedy as the drama next year, which is just what we want!!)

I'm just voting for Donna Noble here. Best New Series companion by miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiles.
Anyway, I seem to be agreeing with Andrew, based on today's whim. Fires of Pompeii. There's too many episodes to adore in this season, but even with the stupid bits Fires of Pompeii is the ultimate 'early-season-historical runaround', following the noble succession of The Unquiet Dead, Tooth and Claw and The Shakespeare Code.Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

I've gone for Turn Left just ahead of Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead, Voyage of the Damned, The Fires of Pompeii & The Stolen Earth/Journey's End
The Sontaran Strategem/Poison Sky & Midnight are bottom.

The Fires of Pompeii for me, most notably for Catherine Tate's performance.
