Excellent, I was thinking about this just yesterday, about the time we were stood in front of a huge display of Advent Calendars! (By the way, since when did Advent Calendars need to come with instructions on them???)

Half the questions now assembled - to quote The Damned .... "Grimly Fiendish". For those of you who've never entered before, the rules are very simple. You have to guess stuff. There are prizes too

Ancient banknotes! No - I mean £30 Amazon vouchers! Whoop.
Runner-up prize:-
The 2015 Doctor Who Desktop Calendar. Impress your colleague with some quotable Who phrases and facts!
And for coming third ....
No you're not getting Nyder's wooden box, but the contents therein. It's the mystery prize. Oooohhhhhh.

So just a brief reminder of the post important rule - send your answer to me by Direct Message - don't post it on the thread!
The jokers are slightly different this year (I think!) You get one Who joker and one non-Who joker. I'll tell you what days you can use them soon....

Right, a final bit of business from me before the fun starts
Jokers
You are allowed one Who joker (for Who-related questions) and one non-Who joker (all other questions).
Who jokers can be used on one the following days - 2nd/8th/10th/12th/16th/21st
Non-Who jokers can be used - 4th/5th/7th/11th/15th/20th/22nd/24th
You can announce the playing of your jokers (either on this thread or to me privately) anytime before the question for that day is published (not after!)
I will endeavour to post questions around 7am Mon-Thurs and hopefully before 10am Fri-Sun
I think that's it! Unless you have any other questions, I shall see you here on December 1st with my Christmas hat on. Happy Fiendish Quizzing

I'm looking forward to the challenge! Simply not finishing last will do nicely for me,
particularly if it's even more fiendish than last years...

Happy December!
Welcome to Nyder's Famously Fiendish Festive Quiz 2015
It's Triple Tuesday already. How did that happen? Three points up for grabs on the very first day. It's a music question - 80s music in particular. You'll hear very brief snippets of instrumental bits of songs from the 80s. What are the songs?
Don't forget - PRIVATE MESSAGE me, don't post the answer on this thread.

I'm sure I've got two out of the three, but I'll have to put a bit of thought into the other...
Edited to add that on second thoughts, now I'm only certain about one of them...devious indeed!Last edited by MacNimon; 1st Dec 2015 at 6:29 AM.

OH NO! TFL have blocked Mediafire this year so I'll have to wait until I get home.
I’m being extremely clever up here and there’s no one to stand around looking impressed! What’s the point in having you all?
