The Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy - Apocryphal Phase
THE STORY SO FAR
Please refer to the many and various audio volumes, films, television broadcasts, written books, e-books, towels and memories that detail the story of the Hitch-Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy to date. In short, all of our heroes are dead and the Earth has been destroyed in every conceivable reality. On the plus side, the golf course outside of the window is looking exceptionally well-tended today.
THE STORY TO COME
Alien beings devoured whole by ravening monsters! Sea creatures of immense size and passion! Space battles on an apocalyptic scale! A love affair doomed for millennia: can it be saved? Zaphod Beeblebrox in danger! DRESSING GOWNS! Can all this and more be crammed into thirty-five minutes of mind-wrenching drama? Find out in the first instalment of The Hitch-Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy – Apocryphal Phase.

Considering what you normally resort to when you're this excited, the drink makes a pleasant change!

Excellent stuff - loved the music (wasn't a huge HHGTTG fan but thought it had a very DW Season 18 feel to it - esp Logopolis )
Well done everyone !Bazinga !

Retro-phonic came from Steve. It's very appropriate!
I really enjoyed the episode, despite not being in it very much (sorry, this is a running gag at home- Steve keeps giving away all the parts I think I'd like!). Splendid performances all round, lovely music and a witty script- what's not to like?

Just listened to it now and it's fantastic stuff, the production side of things is amazing and I thought it was really funny too, with loads of really quotable lines.

Hello!
Just a reminder, if you've enjoyed listening to the audio or taking part in making it, then it would be great if you could pop a couple of quid into our British Heart Foundation Fund. http://lastinghope.bhf.org.uk/psaudi...hhikers-season
The BHF do a lot of good work - https://lastinghope.bhf.org.uk/where-donations-go/
How your fund will help
With your gifts, we can save lives
Every year, heart and circulatory disease claims almost 190,000 lives in the UK alone. In fact, it's responsible for one in three deaths each year.
For over 50 years the BHF has played a key role in the fight against heart disease, and as long as it continues to claim lives, we'll continue our research to find better ways of preventing, treating, and beating it.
The money you raise could help pay for BHF funded nurses, pioneering heart research, or research that specifically helps children - giving new hope to nearly 2.3 million people living with coronary heart disease in the UK.
£25 could provide an hour of specialist care from a BHF Heart Nurse to improve the physical and emotional health of heart patients and their families.
£50 could help detect heart defects in an unborn baby by paying for the use of an echocardiography machine and echo-technician for an ultrasound scan.
£100 could provide calibrated pipettes for use in the laboratory, for the accurate transfer of small volumes of fluid. Every lab needs a range of these, and the disposable plastic tips used for each sample transfer cost around 1p each In the course of a year one worker will often use over £100 worth.
£175 could help save lives by funding a Heart Health Specialist Educator to give communities free advice and support on improving their heart health, and training in emergency life support.
£200 could fund one of our young scientists for a whole day. We currently fund around 500 post-doctoral scientists who work in research teams across the UK on projects to better understand how to diagnose, prevent, treat and cure heart disease.
£978 could buy a brand new electrophoresis gel tank kit, an essential item for our lab scientists which allows them to separate molecules isolated from cells or tissues by size and charge.Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

So, what's happening with this?
We've had a number of recording sessions and managed to get the bulk of the material onto the hard drive. Alex (Arthur) and Tim (Ford) have both completed all of their lines. Episodes 1-3 have all the lines. There are a few parts left to be cast / recorded, which I've listed below:
Episode 4:
Window, Carpet and Jandreth
Episode 5:
Plob and Berek
Episode 6:
Jandreth
I also need to track down a few other bits and pieces.
Slightly more positively, Episodes 2&3 now exist in full format but without any music yet. This will hopefully be done when Andrew Clancy can fit it into his busy schedule. I've just made a start on Episode 4, working around the parts that haven't been recorded yet.
I don't know when this will all get completed, but I'm hoping to get the whole series out by the end of the year. Maybe sooner!Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

I looked at the list of outstanding parts, and wondered where Dave's was.
And then I remembered - you guys met up with him for the SciFi Weekender; can I presume you recorded his lines then?
Did you have any sort of idea who you wanted to play the remaining parts?
What about any of the stragglers from the Bracknell Meet?
Jon? Ali? Ant? Micheal?
More to the point, do we have any photos of the recordings???
With people in/out of dressing gowns and knowing where the towel is???
