Eurovision 2016
It's that time of year again but WE get to pick the song that will represent the UK in Sweden on May 14th. I have listened to all six songs and my front runners are Joe and Jake and Matthew James.
See what you think.
Joe and Jake
Matthew James
Bianca
Karl William Lund
Darline
Dulcima
Eurovision You Decide is on BBC 4 this Friday at 7:30pmI’m being extremely clever up here and there’s no one to stand around looking impressed! What’s the point in having you all?

Either Bianca or Darline.
Bianca has a bit of reggae at the start. BBC reggae of course!
And as for the rest... How many slow piano introductions are there in the world?
So I'll pick Darline as it's more memorable.

Quite impressed with these! The songs sound contemporary and anthemic for the most part.
Si.

The quality is much higher than previous years, I think. I have my favourites but they are all pretty good in their own way.

I'm happy with that result. Hopefully we should do well this year

Having seen the semi finals, I'm not overly impressed with the entries this year. We have a decent enough tune and have been placed in a great slot, 25th to perform out of 26. So we should still be in mind when it come to the voting.

Joe and Jake were by a country mile the best UK entry we've had probably this century so I'm incandescent that they didn't score better even if they were up against some tough competition this year. Unless the UK fields an someone truly spectacular next year I'm probably going to give the contest a swerve for a couple of years.

I personally think we should withdraw for a few years. It's nothing to do with the music any more. Eastern Europeans are so widespread now and can vote in numbers for their own country. We could send our top artists year after year and they'd still come at the bottom of the rankings.

The biggest shock for me was seeing Star Trek:TNG's Jonathan Frakes reduced to a Michael Jackson Cosplay for the Russian entry!
