So yesterday's was Tegan after all, I wasn't sure - I didn't in fact PM my answer over until the very last thing. I'll be honest, that's not the first time I've gone to bed and thought of Tegan, but even so...

I have been in the top three for the last three years. I fear that this year has been way too fiendish for me and I have got off to a bad start.
I’m being extremely clever up here and there’s no one to stand around looking impressed! What’s the point in having you all?

Nyder's Famously Fiendish Festive Quiz 2016
Well there were certainly some impressive wrong answers from yesterday:-
Leslie Crowther
Max Bygraves
Ray Alan (without Lord Charles)
Johnny Cash
Rick Astley
Nicholas Cage
Walter Koenig
Pat Boone
But one person did have it correct....

Richard was certainly Halfway To Paradise for he correctly guessed BILLY FURY and played his joker too! Well done

I went with Bobby Darin. My wrong answer wasn't as impressive as the others as it didn't make the list, LOL

Ah, I do like the book covers question, though I have to say that one of them is definitely fiendish!

This quiz is ridiculous. Even the easy questions are incredibly hard!
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

I just didn't have the time available yesterday to examine book covers in detail so lost points for me again here. Fingers crossed for getting some of them right, though!
As for Saturday, I went for Johnny Cash. I thought Gene Pitney was a possibility too, and given how fiendish Dave's questions can be at times even considered the possibility thta this wasn't even a singer...my daughter reckoned it looked a bit like Ian Brady but it was hard to tell because the only photo you ever really see of him is that mugshot...

If you're listening on a smart device make sure you click "Done" otherwise it seems to then play a random music track (or maybe that's just my settings!)

Thank you for making me sticky
The first leaderboard will be published tomorrow morning. It's all very close at the moment (although today's question may well sort the men from the boys!!)

The music plays even on a laptop - I think it's some kind of recommended related track.
After yesterday's fiasco I'm quietly confident about todayBazinga !

I knew that one instantly...I remember that particular hardback edition from my school library back in the late 70s, I had it out on loan numerous times over the years I'm happy with 2 out of 3 considering I was short of time yesterday...
As for todays though, I'm really struggling...I can't even make out one important part mid-quote....who went off to war?! Aaaaargh!!!!!!
