RIP Sir John Hurt
Sad news this morning. We've lost the marvellous John Hurt, who, of course played the War Doctor in the 50th anniversary special.
He had a tremendous career spanning decades, taking in roles in I, Claudius, 1984, Alien and The Storyteller among many, many others. He'll be missed.
I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

A sad loss, if not unexpected. Cancer claims another.
The first roles I remember him in are the Elephant Man, 10 Rillington Place & Alien.
A great loss of a great actor.

As you say Tim, not totally unexpected but sad news nonetheless.
